Seminars, and Inservices
Kathleen Coleman, MMT, MT-BC and Betsey King, MMT, MT-BC can both provide seminars, workshops, and inservices on most of the topics featured on this site.
With occasional exceptions, Kathleen primarily serves Texas and the states adjacent; Betsey covers the rest of the country from her base in Lawrence, Kansas.
Seminars are in a "lecture" format, with slides/Powerpoint, handouts, and time for questions.
Workshops have seminar components,
but also involve the participants in activities such as songwriting, visual aid "make-and-take" sessions, and role-playing experiences.
Inservices focus on specific staff needs,
such as ideas for speech-language pathologists, music strategies for classroom teachers, or music recommendations for physical therapy support.
The minimum time required for any presentation is 90 minutes; some of the workshops are full-day sessions. Any presentation can be customized to meet the needs of the participants.
For a few select workshops, participants are asked to purchase a text and review it prior to attending. All Prelude materials are available for purchase at any presentation.
To book Kathleen and/or Betsey for a presentation, to request a specific topic, or to inquire about rates and arrangements, please start by sending an e-mail request to
